This stretch has probably been the worst scenery wise of the whole trip lots and lots of uninteresting flat country and bush. We had a perculiar experience with the beautiful blue sky being blacked out by cloud, and looking like it was going to rain. Approaching the Border wh had approximately 10 km of unmade road and the locals had given up work on the new road as it had rained heavily. We were driving through thick RED mud very tricky as you did'nt know where the road was. We got a bit dirty. We stopped at a Billabong just inside the border there was a mass of bird life.
