Mom and Dad came this week and it was perfect to get to see them!I wish they could have been here for a lot longer!I have missed everyone at home so much, and I have been pretty homesick.Seeing my parents really helped me get over some of the homesickness! They got here on Tuesday and we went shopping around town for a bit, then we went to dinner at the college. It wasn't the best dinner we have had so far, but it was decent.I wish they could have been there on a better food night! They went to bed pretty early to combat the jet lag. After they went to bed, a bunch of us had GaMe NiGhT!!!! They are my favorite!!There were 30 of us and we played signs, catchphrase, and mofia!
The next day we got up early and went to breakfast at the college then we to Christ Church. It was really beautiful! Then I had to come back for class.Mom and Dad went exploring the city until Marisa and I met back up with them after class! We went to Merton College (Worchester is better!) and the Botanic Gardens. The gardens were beautiful. They had a really cool green house with the biggest lily pads I have ever seen, and a butterfly green house! It was a lot of fun! That night it was the fourth of July and there was a big party in the pub on campus. They got a DJ for all the tech students. You could tell that the DJ googled "American songs" and played all the cheesiest American songs that we sang along to at the top of our lungs! It was really funny to celebrate independence day from within enemy territory! When it started raining earlier in the day, I pulled out my umbrella.I bought an umbrella at Wimbledon that is the British flag.Marisa said I was being sacrilegious, so we decided to say the pledge of allegiance! It was really funny!! I love Marisa? she is always silly with me!
Thursday we got up even earlier and took a bus to Blenheim Palace. It was really cool. There was a children's garden with life-size doll houses, a huge chess set, a big wooden play ground, and a MAZE!The maze was sooo much fun.We started out the maze together but Dad ran away from me and Mom!It was really funny! They also had a really pretty lavender garden. After the gardens we rode a little kids train up to the castle. The castle was cool? it was where Winston Churchill was born.We went on one really weird virtual tour, then we walked through the other side of the castle on our own. When we got back I had to get packed for Dublin!(I locked my passport inside my safe? so that didn't help the packing process)Then I had to tell my parents goodbye! It was actually a lot harder the second time around!I cried a lot, but at least I had Marisa with me.She held my hand and made it better. This summer would have been SOOOOOO hard without my girl! :)
Basically this week was wonderful!I missed my parents soooooo much and it was so great to see them! Not too much longer until I will be home with them again!
