Now in Santorini, another island in Greece. Much more relaxing than Ios! Ios was cool bit a bit craszy, about he same as Lagos and Pamplona. Lots of drinking and cocktails and beach. Had some good nights accomodation oin a couple of really nice ari conditioned apartments, a real treat! Everyone was a bit stuffed when we left, when we arrived here Anton slept for about 24 hours!
Have dona a tour over here of the other Islands around, one is a volcano so climbed to the top of that (f@#*en hard work)! Then went to a hot springs in the sea by the volcano, was an interesting experience. Just was warmer and smelt like rotten eggs! After that went to another island and jumped off a warf all day and had a traditional Greek meal.
Yesterday Greor and I hired a scooter and drove all around Santorini, he drove. I had a drive once but a big Alsation dog eyed up my leg on the bike and started to chase me and I almost ran into another car, so that was the end of my driving. I thought I was miles away but apparently not. Gregor said he'd have to have a few bottles before he'd let me drive again! Fine with me! Had a great day just cruizing around all the beaches. We are staying here once more night then off to Paros tomorrow, I think. No one is really into leaving this place! We have this gorgeous apartment, cheap as chips with a great pool and so close to a black sand beach, restaurents etc.
Ok, got to try and work out where we are going to go after Greece. Everyone else is still sleeping in the air conditioning, we are not really used to it so making the most of it! Seems ging to Turkey has been put in the too hard basket, lots of time wasted getting there and will only be there for a few days so maybe another year! We cant drive though Albania now either, too many men with AK47s threatening to shoot you if you dont give them hundreds of Euro. So back to the drawing board! We want to go to Croatia, but our van is in Greece so might have to ferry it back to Italy then over the Croatia. Lots of boats..... Hope all is good with everyone. xxxxx
