Hello chums!!

How is everyone on this very fine day?! We arrived in Byron Bay on Friday after finishing our Mojo Surf tour! We were exhausted! In 5 days we did 12 hours worth of coach journeys and 7 x 2hr surf lessons as well as having a party around the camp fire every night!!

Our surf trip started on a bad note because we were told by oz intro (our previous tour who booked mojo for us) that the Mojo coach was picking us up in Coogee at 9.30am Monday morning! So we were in a Coogee hostel Sunday night chilling all night, I decided to go back to my room and pack (I was staying in a girls dorm) it was about 11.30pm. For some reason I decided to double check our paperwork and discovered we were getting picked up at 7am outside Central Station in the city centre (about half hour cab ride away). So the next morning we were up at 5.30am getting a cab into the city!! So we started the week shattered! We had a 6 hour coach journey to Crescent Heads! We thought the surf trip would be full of English boys but it turned out we were the only English people out of about 35-40 people!! Everyone else was Norwegian, Swedish, Dutch and German!

Our camp was in the middle of nowhere on an empty beach, it was really nice there! The best beach I've been to so far I think! We shared our room with Sam, Ben and 2 Norwegian girls; Andrea & Eleanor! They were really nice and spoke good English! They told me they find us really funny because when 1 of us sings, we all start singing and its like we all go into our own little world and it makes them laugh!! We had our 1st surf lesson an hour after we arrived but the waves weren't very good so we only caught a few waves! The food was really nice and we got 2nds too! However after dinner we were split into table groups and we had to play Jenga to decide which table had to do the dishes! Our table were doing so well until Ben went up…he knocked it down…and we had to wash and dry the dishes…for 35-40 people!!!! He was not popular that night! Lol! After we done the dishes we all went down the camp fire by the beach, had a few drinks and a laugh!

On Tuesday we had 2 x 2hr surf lessons and by the end of the day we were getting quite tired. We made 2 more Norwegian friends; Andreas and J-Lo! J-Lo had his name because no one could pronounce his real name! On Wednesday we had another surf lesson and made our way up to Spot X which is just around the corner from Coffs Harbour! When we got there we were surprised to find that our dorms were in green containers! The ones you used to get the sports equipment out of in school!! There should be a pic of it on the blog! They were however air conditioned which was quite nice! The surf conditions were a lot better at Spot X so we improved a lot! Greg's on a hard board now and he has a few wicked photos of him surfing in the photo albums! The instructors were a lot better and helped improve our surfing a lot!

The whole week was brilliant and we met a few good friends and improved our surfing a lot!! When we were just about to leave we were told there were a few job vacancies going so we applied and made our way up to Byron Bay! When we got there we got a call and were told we have the job! We will have to work 4-5hours a day and we don't get paid but we get accommodation, 3 meals a day, free use of surf boards and free surf lessons!!! So we are going to work there for a month or so and practice our surfing! We are leaving here in half hour to travel back down there to start work!!

Byron Bay is really nice! the weather is scorching and the sea is 24 degrees!! Its so nice and warm in there! we have only spent a couple of days here and i think thats all you need! its a brilliant place to shop and relax though!!

Just before I go ill tell you something to make you laugh!! last night Greg wanted to re-shave his head! but instead of waiting until me or Sam was ready to do it for him, he did it himself (knowing Greg there is only 1 way this was going to end!!) ..... he shaved the top front part of his head only to realise that he had forgot to put the comb on!!!!! everyone was in histerics, we sort of fixed it but now he has a no1 on his head with an even shorter patch at the front!! this would happen to Greg the day before he starts work wouldnt it!!
