hello everyone!
Its been a while since we updated the blog but here is the latest! We are still at Mojo surf camp at Spot X (Arrawarra Beach) we have been here 3 weeks now, the boys are night groms (a grommy is a new learner surfer) so all the new staff are called groms!
they start work about 5ish then do the washing up after dinner and clear the bottles from the tables and make sure no one is causing trouble while they drink by the camp fire through the night (kind of like a rep)! I started working in linen which meant i pretty much just had to change beds for a few hours, however it turns out that i don't only get gunk eye from cats im also allergic to cheap washing powder too!! so i have now been moved onto breakfast, lunch and dinners! so i basically serve the food and clear up afterwards! we are staying in a really cool tee pee ill put a pic of it on the site.
the weather has been a bit cooler the last few days and the waves were a wee bit poop for a few days but they have picked up and are now quite big!! We've had really wicked surf the last couple of days! Im nearly as good as Greg now!! I caught some massive waves as well as some massive wipeouts!! Greg is really good at surfing now and catches massive waves!
we have been going swimming in the sea when the waves are not so good with a few of the people we have met here! everyone is really nice! we're planning to stay here for about 1 more week then head up the east coast to find paid work and do Fraser island, Whitsunday's etc.
I saved a duckling the other day! It was all alone chirping its little heart out so Greg went to find the mummy and daddy ducks and I held the duckling, we couldn't find the ducks and we had to go to work so I found a nice lady and her children to look after him until we found the ducks! Later that day the lady reunited the ducking with the ducks and it was a very happy ever-after for all involved!
that's pretty much it from us, our routine is eat, surf, work, surf!! so not much changes from day to day!! We have a few pics that we will post some time soon so check them out!!
