First of all, I apologise if you got notifications for the last entry multiple times, It kept publishing instead of saving the draft - hence you probably got several unfinished entry notifications, sorry. Also, there is no way to select who the notifications are sent to with this blog site - they go to everyone on the contact list; so if you are sick of reading these practice entries, just ignore them....remember this is practice for our trip next year where we will have WAY more interesting things to share with you. If you are like Greg and like to see the photos first, scroll to the bottom of the page and select PHOTOS, there you will find an album for the entries, hopefully with the same name as the new entry. We are still learning this new blog site!
Today we rode around 1770 and Agnes Waters before leaving the area to start heading toward home. 1770 is where Captain James Cook pulled in to land on 26th May 1770. The town was renamed in 1970 as a tribute to his landing 200 years before. There is a rock monument to Cook on the headland overlooking his landing place. The Caravan parks around the shore were full to overflowing but there seemed to be vacancies at many of the resorts and motels - quite expensive!
Agnes Waters also boasts many resorts but most also had vacancies although the backpacker hostels looked to be doing a roaring trade.
After looking around we headed back to Bundaberg (for our 3rd visit!) and morning tea at Maccas.
Childers was next stop as we were both in need of a break and a snack. We opted for fruit and sat in the main street watching the world go by for an hour as it was too early to drive on to Maryborough and check in to our motel for the night.
We arrived in Maryborough about 3pm, cleaned and lubed the chain on the bike and relaxed in our room until dinner time - Maryborough RSL Club tonight.
Tomorrow we head to Mooloolabah for the night and meet up with our son Stephen, his fiance Rebecca and their family for dinner. We arrive home on Friday sometime after 6 lovely days away.
This will be the last entry to our blog until September 2017 when we go to USA for our friend Shayne's wedding to Elizabeth. We will spend a month travelling around, don't know where, but we will blog our adventure so keep your eyes open for notifications after 12th September.

Christopher Problems yes not like the old TravelPod site, my blog is now going from the first to latest trip but they say 2-3 months will see improvement. However despite these issues loved reading the blog and really looking forward to 2018
