Come with me on a journey through time and space
day 5 of the cdonnections tour - continued we were dropped off the coach with our day bag that actually had to last 3 days onto a ferry to get to frazer island. the coach coldnt come as we require a 4wd off road coach to navigate the island. Frazer island is world heritage listed and is the largest sand island in the world, 100 odd km long 75km streatch of beach whi is also the main highway and landing strip. lots of sand, bush, lakes and rainforrest.Tony was our steering attendant on our 4wd special purpose passenger carrying vehicle of large dimensions. he done his best to ensure we didnt get geographically attached to the island. frazer island has 40 perm residents, around 1500 temp workers and half a million pesky tourists a year. we stopped at burabeen a freshwater lake perched on the island. stunning. finished the day off with a nice meal and many beers and whiskeys at the bar. again i was drunk and the last to leave.
