Well day 100 the 20th of May and am sitting in the caravan so i can update my blog ,
We arrived in Evens Heads 2 days ago on Monday the 18th and set up camp here at the Silver Sands Caravan park with the river out side our window ,a bit of a strange park as some parts of it are open to the public but nice all the same ,When we arrived had a nice walk along the river front that gos all the way around to the sea and we again do love this place ,
Out the front of us they have picnic tables and seats and there was this one man there that had been sitting looking at the water for a few hours when the police pulled up had a bit of a talk to him for a while then left ,by the evening you could tell he must have been homeless and was going to sleep on the table in the picnic area i felt so sad for him and told Graham i was going to do breakfast for him in the morning and as you know Graham told me to stay away and leave it alone ,Well morning came and i made toast for us and watched as this young man woke up so i decided i would half listen to my Grays and poured this homeless man a nice hot cup of tea ,walked over to him and just said i would like to give you a cup of tea ,he smiled said thank you and i left him to drink it , about a hour later he brought back the cup and thanked me again i would say he would of been late 20s early 30s i find it so sad as he is some ones son ,but anyway he left that afternoon and i just hope he finds his way .
So yesterday we went out to look around heading for Lismore first one the most terrible roads of the trip just full of pot holes but the country side was lovley ,after Lismore we headed for Ballina to see Betty as i had a small present for her had a short visit and drop her off up at the bowls club where she was to meet up with Micheal ,so we then headed back out to Woodburn to get some info and home to Evens Heads and off to the RSL for a couple of drinks that night ,I love my days out looking around and i have really enjoyed every part of this trip .
