Day 45 Mon 8th May. Up at 5.45 for 6 hour journey to Milford Sound, fab mountain and lake views on the way also passed through the enchanted forest from the Lord of the Rings. Lunch on board the boat enjoying the spectacular views of the Sound, the waterfalls were amazing and meant to be 3 x higher than Niagara falls. Then a crazy flight back to Queenstown, with mega turbulence skimming the mountain tops, one passenger was dripping sweat as we crashed around the skies, I just turned up my iPod and hung on tight...............but some great photos so well worth it and beats 6 hours back on the bus :o) Went straight up the Skyline gondola in Queenstown for a luge ride with Kathy from NY, who I met on the bus, which was so much fun, watched people bungy and then back down the cable car for dinner and a bottle of champagne in a cool restaurant by the bay :o)
