Its the end of term and nearly Christmas, so Matt decided to surprise me with a wonderful trip to Bath! I've only been to Bath as a teenager, for festivals, and it was hardly the same experience!!! We've had a great weekend away with family and good friends, staying in log cabins in the Forest of Dean. Our cabin had our family, Mamie, Ruby, Christine, Riikka, Adam, Daniel and Aaron in it. The other cabins included Chris, Mel, Tia, Rebeckah, Samuel, Richard, Jayne, Sheila, Ged, Les, Janice, Mum and Dad. Today we went to wicksteed park in kettering. It was awesome. What we really need to do though, is go with two adults, or less children (Matt was working) there were so many great things to do for Will, but Elisha was too small and I couldn't leave her to take him. We did however, go on a train ride, which is apparently the longest narrowline train track left in the UK. There's lots to play with, but we just played on the free equipment. Still totally worth it...

It's aunty Joan's 60th birthday (hard to believe, she doesn't look it!) so we headed down to Manchester for a family get together and celebration. A little sad to leave Sedbergh again, feels like we've only just arrived, and we missed so many people that we'd hoped to catch up with, just because we ran out of time. We stopped for breakfast on the way, and Will spent a bit of time watching the cars go underneath us at the motorway bridge. We got M&S food...

Next stop was Edinburgh to visit Great Granny Gracie and Matt's cousins Robert and Thomas, and aunt Astrid and uncle Andrew. We set off early and made a few stops for the kids, the first being Westmorland farm shop services. I'm told these are the only independently run services in the UK.
