Sorry about the highly unoriginal picture but I haven't worked out yet how to upload my own poor attempts at travel photo of the year. Bloody technology follows me wherever I go! If you are planning to pass through Chennai anytime soon - do that - pass through, 'cause three days waiting in an industrial city is just about more than one can possibly wish for.......but the food.......ah the food. Wonderful selection of spiced dishes to confuse and delight. As for the rest, well I was asked by a Tuk Tuk driver on day one "Do you like Indian girls?" and, not wishing to offend I replied "Oh yes, they are very pretty". Yes, you can see it coming can't you! "Would you like me to get you one?" was the next question. As any good reporter would, I made my excuses and left!. I guess the thing that got to me was that I obviously looked the type who might be interested in the procurement of young women. Well, out of the flesh pots and smog tomorrow and off to the temples and hills of the south! Gordon
