Yes I have been shopping, at the Balberno outlets, the leather markets and the stores, and yes we now have three suitcases :) We also went to the DaVinci museum, not as good as the Galileo one but better than stuffy paintings. Finally warm enough to start my affair with gelati, commencing with cherry and choc chip.

I expect from the picture you know exactly what we did today! A drive through pretty Tuscany, a stop in San Gimignano (UNESCO listed old walled city on top of a hill), Siena and obviously Pisa. Also saw Andres Botchelli house and Russell Crowes house (while he was filming Gladiator). Very funny driver Alesando. Our Florence hotel is channelling the Pisa vibe, none of the walls/floors/ceilings are perpendicular lol.

Neither of us like museums but we went to Acadamia this morning to see 'David' bigger than I expected, we did enjoy the historical musical instrument special exhibition. Avoiding the art museums we wandered down to the Galileo museum which was pretty cool :) lots of old scientific tools. We found ourselves in what we suspect was a trendy restaurant for dinner, my steak was fab but unfortunately they seemed to refuse to cook Bryan's 'well done' so he was not a hap...

We got up early today, back on the train, heading south to Florence. Arriving just before lunch we went for a walk and found the Dumo where we climbed the 463 steps up the tower for a fabulous view. The interior of the roof also had an impressive mural. One of our best lunches yet :) either we are getting better at ordering or we prefer Tuscan cuisine to Venetian.
