After a quick brekkie had a wander through nearby casinos Tropicana and MGM - Rainforest cafe was amazing! Managed to catch some of the Sharks v Raiders game -shame about the result! Then back to Excalibur for our 1015 pick up by Papillon for our Grand Canyon adventure! Drove about half an hour through Vegas and Henderson to Boulder City and the Heliport. After check in and safety instruction we met our pilot John and four other passengers and boarded our HELICOPTER!! So glad we disregarded comments about it being too frightening and thanks so much to Di & Nick for their recommendation! A mind-blowing experience - just sensational! Throughout the breathtakingly smooth flight we always felt safe and secure with enjoyment levels at optimum. To say the views over Lake Mead and the Canyon are incredible is the ultimate understatement - soooo many photos! Then to land, be escorted to a sheltered picnic area and be presented with your picnic snack basket and glass of champagne.....wow! Just a few more(!) snaps before lift off and the return journey. One of those life experiences somewhat tinged with emotion that you just don't want to end.On the return from Boulder City decided to get dropped at the Paris to collect our show tickets - and experienced yet another first! On arrival back in Vegas a few of us were transferred to a stretch limo! Not a long ride but certainly a bit of fun! Tickets sorted it was time to squeeze in our first bit of retail therapy, an ice cream then bolt back to our hotel to freshen up for our night out. Caught the Deuce bus from the Tropicana down the strip to Paris in time to grab a drink - then Jersey Boys! What a brilliant show! Even better than I expected. Incredibly talented cast, so thrilled with our choice. Was fun wandering the lights and pizazz of the ever-bustling strip at night. Raym wanted to visit the Venetian again where we had a meal in a little Trattoria before catching the Deuce bus back, once again thoroughly exhausted.
