I attended two end-of-term school concerts which involve songs and dancing and skits by the younger children then announcing the top students in each year. The younger kids, which can be as young as 3 years, were very cute, and sure could dance. The two concerts were slightly different but both were much more elaborate than ours typically are - the kids had outfits for some of the dances, the program had more than 20 items, the kids memorized and delivered fairly long speeches or choreographed dances, unlike ours where some kids stand there and say nothing during the entire song.
The kids were dressed in white outfits except for specific outfits for dances, an many of the girls had hair extensions, earrings, bracelets and rings.
For one when I entered, a small boy and girl recited a welcome "to Madame Cheryl Jones" and presented me with flowers, very sweet. During the show, the audience would go up and present money - sometimes to an individual child or into a common bowl, so show their appreciation. At the end, each child was given a toy like a Barbie doll or a truck.
I uploaded a short video of boys dancing, the video of a dance by the girls is failing perhaps because the internet isn't fast enough. This is the first time to add a video to the blog, so hopefully you are able to see it.
Both schools are private schools mostly funded by the fees paid by the parents and both are looking for a sponsor to help with expansion, so let me know if you are interested, or know someone who might be.
