When we were booking our week we wondered if we should do the four, the five or the eight days. We worried that eight might be too long - what if we didn't like our shipmates or our ship, what if the schedule was too arduous, what if everybody was just talking in Latin names....?
Maybe we just got lucky, but we couldn't have asked for a nicer group of people to share our amazing expereinces with. Over the eight days we shared our lives with:
2 Austrailians - Sammi and Nat
4 Austrians, - Mary and Marina, Jakob and Eva,
3 Americans - Crystal, Ashley and Roger,
3 Dutch - Michael, Natalie and Dirk
1 Brit - Barry
5 French Canadians - Louise and Y|ves, Colette and Noella and Jeanette
I Dane - Turbin
and one amazing Ecuadorian.
Thank you Enrique for pulling it all together every day. I wish you the best and know that many high school students are going to be very lucky once you hit the classroom.
We were so glad we stayed the eight days - each one so different from the other, each one full of 'firsts', and at this age that is getting harder and harder to come by!
The Galapagos is truly a special place - impossible to explain and not what I expected at all. It was a week I will never forget and all the more special to share it with a good friends..
