After being bored with nothing on the island, we decided to go. It was very stormy that day, raining and storming it down. We decided to go on a supply boat. Today was quite sombre. We visited the killing fields outside of the capital. It is where the Khmer Rouge took prisoners and murdered them. It was very eerie, very upsetting. The first notable thing was a pagoda, a religious monument which was very tall and ordinary compared to other ones. However this one had layers and layers of skulls. Got up at like 4 o clock in the morning to go see Angkor Wat at sunrise. After sliding out of bed and onto our bikes without a shower or anything, we ventured out into the night, with curious concerned looks from locals cause white peiople were on bikes at this time. Today we set out to go to the tropical island. On the boat ride there we went snorkeling in the sea, to see all the wildlife. Brett the wimp was so scared of everything, like sea urchins. Psssch. On the island it was pretty idyllic. The beach was a second away from our hut, hammocks everywhere and the occasional chicken on the seat next to you. Just chilled out didn't we.
