It was horrible day yesterday so I spent most of it reading my Australia book and making notes which was good. I should have done that at home but it's great I had time to do that yesterday. I marked down all the places I wanted to see and things I wanted to do. Once I had done that I realised how quickly these 5 months are going to go ahhhhhh! I read in my itinerary that my 3 day trip around Ayres Rock involves two 8km walks... Check me out with all my exercise....

Yesterday I woke up pretty early and started reading my book 'Flora's Lot'. It's pretty good and helps the time pass when the weather isn't great. Jayne and I had brekkie and then walked down to Hillary's Boat Harbour, a gorgeous complex with bar's, restaurants, shops and a great secluded beach area. Great place for a romantic evening meal and some drinks. We then went onto Sorrento Beach for a paddle. I dipped my feet in the Indian Ocean for the first time. yay!...

Yesterday Alisha and I went to Fremantle which was amazing. Definately a must see. We had fish and chips by the harbour and then headed to the markets for a bit of shopping. We also caught an AFL game and saw Fremantle Prison. Alisha and I watched the Knowing on dvd last night.. great special affects but what a rubbish ending! Woke up late yesterday, must have been the jet lag. Stephen and Jayne took me into Perth city where we went to Kings Park (the highest point in Perth). The park is beautiful and has some gorgeous flowers and water features. The view was fantastic and I managed to get a few snaps. Arrived in Perth yesterday and was met by Stephen and Jayne. It was so good to see them and they are doing well. Their house is huge and Ive got my own room. Met Alisha who is great and really made me feel at home. I had dinner cooked for me and my washing done. Jayne's mum also lives here who is 88 and is so much like Nana Pat.
