Checked into modern hotel called Masonneive, Tina had a wonderful soak in the tub. Went out exploring and had a wonderful meal at the Windsor Bar where we gained much local info from our frenetic bar keep. Toured the cathedral which dates back to the 12th century. Had dinner at cafe Irina where Hemingway apparently frequented.

Stopped for breakfast in Akerreta a scenic spot by the river, sampled the Spanish omelette made of egg and potato. Trails lovely to walk on some ascending and some descending. Walked the outer suburbs of Pamplona with our Aussie friends Mary and Rex. Staying tonight in Alberque Ibarrola which has cubicles to sleep in, looks like an Asian influence. Met with group for drinks across from cathedral, was a chilly night. 15K done
