Left Birdsville after Brekky at bakery, drove thru to Boulia and camped. Next morning drove to Mt Isa and stayed 2 nights, Dale got blood tests at hospital, got new shockers, we bought new gas stove and thru our other one out, caught courtesy bus to Buffs and had big night. Drove to Barkly Homestead then next day thru Elliott and stopped at free camp at Newcastle Waters, lucky we were there early as packed to the rafters with freeloaders. Went to Daly Waters famous pub for brunch and then thru to Mataranka for a few days. Swam in thermal pools and had two good nights at bistro with great entertainment, second day was Territory Day so had heaps of fireworks that night. Well earned couple of days relaxing.
