Today we went to the Bird and Animal park. It isn't big, but it's good. You get a bag of feed for the 'furry' animals. There are lots of different, pretty birds (there were grapes to feed the lorikeets) including pheasants and a gorgeous macaw. You could feed the goats, sheep, emus and alpacas, and they were all waiting and eager to be fed. A great place for kids - Xanthe, Levi, Olive and Jimmy would LOVE it!!! Today we decided to head east and see if the beaches are as good as everyone says they are. We were not disappointed. We went to Condingup and talked to the guy at the pub. Was it worth going to Cape Arid NP on a day trip? He said to go to Duke of Orleans Bay (Duke's Bay) and drive on any of the tracks - they all take you to a lovely beach. Fuel 1.222/l Today we had a quick walk around town, breakfast at the roadhouse and heading south at 9am, arriving in Esperance 11am. The other bracket broke on the caravan track so we had lunch and then got them both fixed - great service. We had a walk around the foreshore, which is lovely. We were all set up by 5pm. Ahhhh

We put some fuel in at Nullarbor - 158.9/l and headed east to the Head of the Bight. We knew there wouldn't be any whales but wanted to check it out. Nothing to rave about but glad we did. We stopped at a few lookouts to get photo's of the Bunda Cliffs. They are amazing. A lot of the old lookouts/drive in's are closed.
