Maralinga - wow. Today we had a 7 hour tour. The guide, Robin, has had a connection with Maralinga since 1972 and loves the history. He can paint a picture with words. They are slowly getting it set up for tourism and i reckon it's well and truly worth a visit. Today we are heading to Maralinga, we don't know how long it will take, but we should get there in good time. Fuel at Streaky Bay was 115.9. We left at 8:30 and stopped in Ceduna to get a couple of things. Our next stop was Penong. Today we didn't have to start as early. We had a nice drive to Streaky Bay. The country across SA is very dry. We didn't get fuel until Port Augusta (PA), thinking it would be cheaper - how wrong we were. Fuel is cheaper everywhere else - either side. After travelling to Swan Hill Sunday after the footy we had an early start on Monday. We stopped at Monash Park for lunch. An amazing park. Great for kids and adults. Play equipment for all ages. We arrived at Melrose in time for a look around and tea at the pub. It's a nice little town and everyone was very friendly.
