Hey all!
Here we are in the land of cheese and cold; Switzerland! We were dismayed to find that there are no more trains to Switzerland from Montipeiller that day that we were meant to leave, so we have to wait overnight for the next train- we were stranded in an isolated train station in a true backpacker style!
We ordered pizzas (which, by the way, were horrific) and sat on a massive GB flag in a waiting room ( Philla's, of course!) in a picnic style. We recieved lots of really strange looks and mutters. Bet they are thinking, ' Those British!' We were planning to stay in the waiting room overnight to save money and to celebrate the backpackers' lifestyle, but to our dismay, we discovered that the train station closes at midinight (we thank god for laura's countless questions to strangers this time!)
So we ran wanderless trying to find accommodation, and God must be smiling down on us, we found one easily.
The next day, on Monday, we caught the early train to Switzerland. It's 7 hours journey, and we consumered so so so many food and drank many litres of water and lemonade, so many that we arrived Switzerland bloated and a stone heavier! In the land of healthiness(!!)
Tuesday, we decided to shift off those food and went canyoning. For those who haven't heard of canyoning, it's activity consist of a mixture of jumping, swimming, abseiling, sliding, swinging and climbing in a canyon!! It is sooooooo fun and wet! Fanastic experience but bloody hard working walking around in really tight wetsuit, and tucking in our stomach trying to impress good looking men in our group! Be sure to look at our photos, we look terrible, just not to use against us in future....
Laura decided to opt for different activity instead of canyoning with us, instead of being soaking wet, she went, in hindsight, probably a clever decision, for paragliding. She said it's a fanastic experience and she felt like a bird, flying for freedom.
We did horseriding trek next, only to reward with beeeaauuuttiiifffuuullll views when we trek around the mountains, plus stiff legs and bums! It still hurts when we sit down!
That night, we ate in true Swiss tradition, cheese fondue! We dip our bread into the cheese, expecting it tasting like chesse but to our horrific shock, it don't taste like cheese at all! not at all, believe me! Only Philla liked it, but with Swiss blood running in her blood, what do you expect?!?
Later we forced Philla to try out alphorn, where some of Swiss musician were playing in the restaurant, and which she eventually did. Not bad effort, Philla.
After an exhausting but full of brillant experiences, we dozed out to face another train journey to Italy, the land of pasta, pizza and sexy looking men (that bit we are lokking forward to!) the next day, Wednesday.
Poor Aliya woke up to find she has tonstillis, inform, she expected lots of sympathys, so start to send her sympathy messages NOW NOW!
See ya next blog, which we will reveal our adventures on Italy, Ciao!
