Budapest is split into two parts and guess what their names are................... BUDA and PEST! wonder why thou?! LOL
arriving on the early hours in the morning, feeling really smelly, sticky basically yucky!! after long overnight train journey- it wasnt a sleeper bed so we had to sleep upright on the couch sharing with other two ladies from canada. Through out the night we (I mean by we is, Aliya and Camilla) laugh at the sleeping girls- Philla and Erika who were having problems to sleep comfortably, kept tossing and turning and according to them we were mumbling/signing in our sleep, God knows what we were actually saying?!>?
After bl**dy long hike looking for our apartment (the other side of the city from the train station) and problems of trying to contact and getting in the house!! argh!! thats long story. but all was worth it when we step inside our amazing apartment, the cheapest of all so far £8 per person per night!!!!!! and we even got our own "en suite" :-P and our own kitchen, we let the chefs (Camilla and Erika) to rustle up dinners for us! save money big time and makes a change from eating out!
Forgetting that it was one hour back from Romania, we waited outside burger king to meet a group of girls the current school leavers, realising Oops we are one hour too early! D'uh!
we had great time chatting with the girls, catching up with news and GOSSIPS!! Be warned you people back in UK, we know all the Gossips!! *evil cackles*
Thanks to the girls for giving us so many tips and recommend the best places to go as we only have one full day in Budapest. and hell we made the most of it - had brilliant day
Here's what we did,
9am-we woke up
9.30am- we had shower and breakfast
9.55am- left our apartment and got bus (unpaid for)!
10.15am- walking, a lot of walking through the park......
I ll stop this now!! lol
Did quick look around the square of Heros, column and statues. and thats is where the three girls, Cam, Aliya, Erika sign and sang without their voices-hmph (Where's your voices? -Miss May's style)........the YMCA.
I said young men..... I said young men.....
have fun at the Y.......M......C......A......
all this is because back at Brasov-Romania, we made a met on how long would it take to reach to the top of the hill in the cable car- The winner Philla said 3 mins, (which was actually 2 mins 39 secs!) Cam 2nd by 5 mins, Aliya- 8 mins, Erika - dare i tell you all?! ...... 12 mins!!!! no idea why she thinks a journey up takes 12 mins, maybe she forgotten to add take away by 10!! aha ah!! soI (Phils by the way) merely sat back and enjoyed the others making fool of themselves.... see video!! lol
afterwards went to a bath aka swimming pools there was about 15 different pools altogether, of different sizes and temperature, highest was about 38 degrees and the lowest was 16 degrees and its absolutely freezing! believe me! first we had pedicure to recuperate our tired, walked-out feet from all those walkings. with cute nail varnish colours!
then we all tried out every single pools and sauna, steam rooms.for me the best was dipping and staying in the freezing cold water for 5-10 mins then running (fast walking) into warm pool, letting our body warm up into painful pins and needle style. then returning to cold pool for another cool down, we did it three times in a row, apparently its good for our body as it taunt, making it tighter- little evidence! helping to get rid of our alcohol related and chocolate bellies! :P
later we went to a funfair, where poor erika was sick after couple of rides!! :S oorh! we went out for meal on the lake-posh restaurant and delicious food!
like a moth drawn to light, we were drawn to music and dancing of salsa nearby, to our delight we spend the next few hours til closing time watching other ppl to do the SALSA! Camilla was teaching Aliya how to dance with a little success!! unfortunately none of us had the courage to join the dancing, we took the back seat and enjoyed the show. after many drinks and many runs to the toilet! seriously all the alcohol leaves our body very quickly!
we went straight to open roofed nightclub in Buda, very near our apartment, lots of talking, drinking and unfortunately very little dancing to Camilla's disappointment! back to our apartment at 5 am, we were starving so we used up our pasta for our post clubbing food! much more healthier than typical kebab or burger food back in london!! yuck!
on august 2nd, Philla departs the Girls In Europe for her trip back home, There were 4 and now there's 3! But not for long!! AMSTERDAM here I come! (Phils I mean, again) whoops!!! *grins*
