Ciao! (It s also means 'Hi' in Italian not just goodbye so we have not gone loopy!)
We all just got back from a busy sighseeing day out today at the city of love-Verona, it was quite exhausting day, lucky for us the weather was fantastic after cold Switzerland.
We looked around the Arena, the 2nd or 3rd largest in Italy but better preserved than the largest one in Rome. We got a free admission due to us being deaf!! An advantage! We all then wandered around Verona, absorbing the beauty of Italy and also some 'talent-spotting' as Laura would put it! *winks*
Verona is also famous for its origin of the Romeo and Juillet 'true love' story, we got the chance to visit Juillet's house and peeked over the famous balcony where Juillet spoke to Romeo down below 'Romeo, Romeo, Wherefore art thou Romeo?' We all recreated this scene whilst standing over the balcony imagining our Romeo downbelow! (Wonder who we actually thought of!) lol *grins*
Afterwards went out to taste a local cuisine of pasta and pizza, so far we are quite impressed however after the meal our mood was destroyed by one Italian took a fancy to Erika and decided to talk to her, due to our many attempt to get away from him, walking opposite direction of the streets, and into the shops, he still followed us around. To be honest we were quite freaked out, but luckily we were surrounded by loads of people, in public places. He wouldnt get the message until Philla said 'NO' to his face and nudged him in the opposite direction, and that we were finally relieved.
Now back at the hotel, we made start on our packing for our next loaction, which will be Venice, tomorrow.
Ciao! keep in touch, we all love your messages and emails.
P.S. photos on the way as same problem of finding a computer that are able to upload photos! We got some good good, funny photos! *grins*
