Koh Phi PhiOMG, What a place! This has definately been the best place so far. Despie arriving during a storm and having to carry our bags for what seemed like miles looking for our hostel, I had such a good time! The hostel was lovely in comparison to the hut in Krabi and after the rain stopped the island brightened up and was so cool. You would not know before stepping off the boat that there was a whole community of people from all walks of life enjoying life in paradise!I spent the first day looking around the island.I was walking past the market as you do and this guy came chasing after me! It was so funny! Dave who I met in Bangkok was on the same Island and we both had no idea! We sat in a cafe as chatted for a while before booking a trip to Koh Phi Phi Leh (the island where 'The Beach' was set).It turns out that Simon, the canadian guy we met was also there, so that evening we all met for drinks before going to a party on the beach, it was so much fun!The next day was amazing! Despite raining all day the trip to 'The Beach' was so worth it. The snorkelling was amazing. I was so proud of myslef, it being my first time! Didnt need to hold my nose or anything...thanks for the witty comments about that Stu, most appreciated! We spent a few hours in the water and then climbed through some caves to the actual beach. It was unbelievable, even though the day was not clear! If anything we were lucky as it was so quiet and we had it all to ourselves! After spending sometime taking in the scenery we headed back to the boat, but on the way I nearly died! The water as really rough, and little me kept getting knocked over. I lost my shoes and then cut all my feet on the rocks! Honestly if it wasn't for Ross and Ben, the guys I was with I would have drowned! They literally held me up and got me to dry land safely! It was so scary! That night I met the guys and Dave out for drinks and went to watch some thai boxing, which we realised was completely fake! Its more like the WWF. They fixed the result! Very dissapointing, but very funny! We stayed out till the early hours of the morning, munched on food from the street vendors before staggering home! The next morning I saw the guys again and arrange to meet them In Kata. On the boat I met two Canadia girls teaching over hear and exchanged numbers with them too as they may be able to give me some advice incase I change my plans! It is o nice meeting people! Everyone is so friendly and alot of fun!
