Sydney
I think the flight to Sydney was around 9hours, but it seemed so much longer, the plane was tiny- if you had your tray out you literally couldn't move an inch! When I arrived Oz intro were suppose to meet me but there was a huge storm so our flight had to hover for about an hour, just what you need after a 9hr flight, so they missed me! After a few phone calls to the English office I finally met Dan who was really friendly and took me around Coogee and then to my hostel. I was so glad to be in Australia, it was really exciting!
The next day was really boring as I had to sort out my bank account etc, but that night I met 3 Scottish guys and a Canadian girl called Taylor! We all went out to this local club called 'The Palace' and drank way too many shots, but it was a really good night! Me and Taylor spent the next few days together, either chilling on the beach, which was literally right outside our hostel or shopping in Bondi, which was the beach town about 15mins away from where we were staying! It was a really nice few days! Taylor is also going to NZ so I might meet up with her and travel with her a while, which is nice to know!
Taylor left the same day that the Oz intro people were due to arrive so it worked out really well. At 3pm I was alone and by 3.05 I met a room full of people who were all really fun! I was really excited abut the rest of the week, but most people were really jet-lagged and could barely keep their eyes open! I felt quite sorry for everyone, because you could tell they just wanted to get out the room and explore Coogee!
