Girl Guides Take Europe
- Today was an early day. We woke up and had breakfast at the hostel in Lyon. The breakfast included the basics (cereal, orange juice, baguettes etc.) We then walked to the train station to travel to Paris!
- The train ride wasn't all that long around 2 hrs and I'm unsure what happened because a lot of us needed sleep including me but I also got to sit with Pam and learned how to make an amazing braclet.
- When we arrived we explored the scenic route of the train station to find the lockers to put our bags in. Although Kristal was amazing at shoving as many bags as possible into one locker. Go super women!
- After all our bags were off our shoulders and we felt a lot less sweaty we headed for the Eiffel Tower after stopping to grab some food. I found the best muffin ever that had Nutella on the inside and I tried cherry 7up that was very good.
- We got easily distracted well walking to the Eiffel Tower by some cool tents that were setup along the road. They consisted of brackets, scarfs, pocket watches, and one tent that had amazing nail polish kits (warning! Mom I may have bought one)
- After everyone had blown all their euros... (Just kidding) we headed straight for the Eiffel Tower talking the picture of a Marmot on the way.
- We then split up into 2 groups. My group consisted of Tara, Debbie, Pam, Jodie and Sarah. Our plan was to take the elevator to the 2nd floor while the other group took the stairs. The line for the elevator was pretty long and we waited about 2 hrs but it was worth it because the view was breathtaking.
- When we meet up with the other group they told us the stairs weren't bad and they had travelled on the metro to stop at the Luve, take a picture of it then jump back on the metro to meet is at the Eiffel Tower.
- Together we started walking back to the place where are bags were and after collecting them at that station we travelled back to the other station making sure we stopped at McDonalds because a lot of people seemed to want it.
- We finally got on the train that would help us get to the scout house in Jambville, eating our not all that great McDonalds on the way there.
- At the train station near the scout house we all got off and loaded our luggage into three small shuttle buses that would take us straight to Jambville. I spent the ride laughing with Jodie and Sarah because Sarah couldn't open the window and I got it open in two seconds. According to Sarah I have the most muscles.
- The shuttle buses stopped and we went to explore our building that they allowed us to sleep in. The bedrooms were very nice and the bed were comfortable although Sarah was uncomfortable with all the giant moths flying in. Haha.
- After having a dance party with Tara's music me and Sarah decided to go to the shower building which meant we had to go outside to get to the showers. When we were done we ran from the showers because there was a toad hopping between the shower stalls. Sarah freaked. She's so funny!
- It was nice to finally get to bed after all that and we were all very excited to head to London the next day.
