Hey there guys !!
Its so hard to keep up with this blog when you have to pay through your nose for the internet !!
So Cairs is hot !! think it hits about 33 degrees each day. We have done some fun things whilst being here, things that you really should do. The Great Barrier Reef was amazing! It was pouring down when we left Cairs at 8.30am on the Osprey V (the boat). it took us 2 hours to get out to the first spot on the Reef and by the time we got there the sun was shinning and the water was warm. We spent 3 hours floating around on the first part of the reef, it was quite surreal being in the middle of the ocean following fish around (we did take photos but there on a disposable camera so i will put them up when we develope them, also, more photos will come from Eds camera). We saw a turtle !! which was magical, i spent a good 30mins following him around, and he so knew it, he just went along with it and didnt find me a threat at all.You know, you can watch programs on some things and feel OK not to experience it first hand. You have to go to the Great Barrier to apprecate it, its stunning.
We also spent a day in the rainforrest with a tour opperator called 'Uncle Brians Rainforest Tours' We wernt taken by Uncle Brian but actually Cousin Paul (which by the way you had to call him at all times!) We drove around in Gus, the bus, you had to call him by Gus at all times....if you didnt, he cryed... true story! The tour was brilliant, i really really enjoyed it. At first Paul took us for a short walk in the Jungle and educated us on some of the typical australian plants you will find around the forest, including the plants you want to stay away from, which was handy! Then we spent the rest of the day going to different parts of the rainforest where we swam and ate. the day was awesome, i will recomend Uncle Brians to anyone going to Cairns, well worth the money.
Sorry if this seems rushed, i am writing this from Hamilton also so i may have forgotten somethings. OH except this one (this will make mam n creaky chuckle) So me n ed decided to go down the beach one night with a bottle of wine and some music. Along the shore line is a track they call the Esplinard. Not many people will be walking along the Esplinard after about 8pm so you cant really help but look if someone is wandering along as it is a rare site. I looked up at one point to see a man, completley starkers apart from (what i thought was) a thong... By the time i managed to quietly (like a giggling kiddie) point him out to ed he had walked past us, so when we turned around again we got a full on view of his backside, which had no signs of pants, not even a thong! thats when we realised he was just nakee, he didnt even have anything in his hands, no clothes, nothing. This guy had just strolled past us so non-shallontly, not a care in the world, all hanging out. I had to rub my eyes and wondered if i had a wee bit too much to drink...
OK, love you guys loads, ill write next from Sydney !! Love you all loads ! xxxxxxxxxxxx
