Well here we are at the end of our trip! It is officially our last day away today and we are pretty gutted to say the least! It has rained over the last 4 days which has sucked as it supposed to be hot season!!! It is not doing the tans any favours at all so we are going to come back the same colour as we left!!!
We havent really got up to much in Bangkok itself other than shopping on Khao San Road and drinking dirty Changs!! I had THE worst changover all yesterday which pretty much wrote my day off!!!
We arrived in Bangkok on Sunday night after a horrible long bus journey which, surprise surprise was delayed and late! We felt really bad as our friends from Oz Toby and Verina were waiting from about 8 o clock for us - we didnt even arrive in Bangkok until 9.30!! Then we trapsed around Khao San looking for somewhere to stay which was not easy, despite getting some help from Morwena, a girl we met on the bus from Koh Tao! Eventually as we were walking along with our backpacks on, we stumbled across the guys at a bar, so Verina helped us to find somewhere half decent!
Next we joined up with T & V, their friends who they have been travelling most of asia with Will and Verity, Joe another guy they knew and some weird tag along guy who no one actually seemed to know or like very much. Anyway, we sat down with them all and got straight on to the Changs and pretty much carried on that way until we finally rolled into bed at about 4.30 am!
The next night we met up with them all again, but this time decided to stay on the water!! I was feeling as rough as 10 and i dont think Sar was feeling too great either!! Added to the fact that we really did not want to fly hungover like we did from Brisbane - that was not a nice experience!! Even though we were not drinking, we still didnt get home until gone midnight - after declining the guys' request to go and see a ping pong show - NO THANKS!!!
The whole day today we have been getting our last few pressies and some clothes! It is so so cheap here, if we had any more money and more importantly, space in our bags we could spend loads here!!! Sar even got some Diesel jeans (RRP at home about 90 quid!) for a tenner!
Another 9 hours and we will be on board the plane! Really not looking forward to staying still and hunting for jobs - that does not sound like much fun - but we do have the Llangennith bash to look forward to and keep our spirits up!!! Its going to be so weird to split from each other after all of this time!
So thats my final entry i am afraid, those of you that like to read the old journal before you go to bed or to work will have to find something else to occupy the time until i complete my first novel or we go travelling again!!
Thanks to everyone for all the messages, emails and for actually checking the website so frequently!!! We will see you all soon!!!
