G'day guys

Just a short entry to let u know that we have arrived safe and sound!! covered a lot of miles in the last few days! set off at 11am on wed and didnt arrive in Sydney until about 6.30am the next day!! the first flight from Cape Town to Jo'berg went well. had a really posh plane with leather seats and had more leg room than on a long haul - hang on maybe i was sat in the wrong bit?? oh well it was nice anyway! was a bit apprehensive about our backpacks as they flew directly from Cape Town to Sydney but luckily they did arrive at the end! had a slight delay in Jo'berg but only about 45mins which was ok. we got fed so much food i nearly exploded at the end! slept for the whole of an hour on the plane, just spent the whole time watching films and listenin to music. kept peepin out the window and it was bright sunshine outside due to the time differences, so couldnt sleep at all after that. arrived in Sydney at about 2:30pm (their time) so decided to stay awake until night time so that i didnt wake up in the middle of the night ready to go out! took hours to get out of the airport cos of all their security. my yummy cheese and tomato sandwiches got sniffed out by some stupid security dog so had to give them up which i was very distraught about!! it took about an hour to get to our hostel. not the greatest place but luckily i was very tired! not sure the plans for the next couple of days, need to get a car somehow but cos its peak season everythings very expensive. hope ur all well! mum i'll try and get a phonecard and ring as soon as i can x x x x x x x
