9am time to check out of Blablabla, we made our last breakie out on the balcony & a Spanish girl made us two espressos' whilst we exchanged travelling stories, then we left a message in Antonio's book & said our farewells
10am we had one last explore around Faro, heading to the old town which we hadn't yet had chance to see. Inside its huge walls, there wasn't much to do but it had plenty of historic buildings & made for some good pictures. We even helped ourselves to the orange trees on our way back & passed the "I love Faro" sign on our way to Maccers for one last ice cream!
11am super sad to leave, it's been incredible. We made it to the airport in perfect time & checked in no problem, saving a bit of time to grab lunch and roam around the souvenir shops before boarding.
2pm the flight wasn't too great, grumpy guts next to me kept tutting & complaining about our conversations, which even for an American girl, was really not that loud!! She even asked to move seats on more than one occasion but we just laughed it off, misery! Worse than that, when Laura fell asleep a hostess announced that there were some problems & something about the oxygen masks being released.. There's nothing worse when you can't hear what's being said on cheap budget flights, but the pilot was asking for any assistance from a doctor on board, I was of course freaking out so I woke Laura up & she did well to calm me down! We talked for hours about politics & religion. Thankfully nothing else was ever said about the air masks & they never were released, but upon decent it became obvious that someone was suffering breathing problems & we think there was an issue about smoking on flight since an air hostess made comment about it when we touched down. Police cars awaited them before we could get off the plane, but that drama aside, we were through the terminal pretty quick.
5pm Andy picked us up & we dropped Laura back off at home in Fallowfield. Domino's pizza & cookies for dinner with Andy back at the flat. Back to reality!
