9.30am after a decent night sleep we showered & made breakfast at Antonio's place out on the balcony, then we caught the 16 bus to Praia de Faro to see the local beach but although the skies were clear it was pretty chilly! 12pm we headed back & had a roam round town to get food from the local store then went back & made lunch at our place & had a picnic on the roof! Everywhere was deserted, it felt like we were bumping into the same people wherever we went because there was so few about - Faro is definitely a very homey/local town!12pm we headed back & had a roam round town to get food from the local store which was cool then went back & made lunch at our place & had a picnic on the roof! This was all before we got stopped by a local who preceeded to talk to us for a good while about tourism and "true Portugal", whilst trying to deter us from going into Zara to check out the clothes, when really we were just surprised that the commercial store existed in such a lovely boutique town! 3pm we caught a 30 minute bus to Vilamora & ran just in time to catch the perfect sunset over the beach, staying for a good while to watch the surfers out at sea - the perfect moment! 6pm after a cheeky stop at Maccers for pear sundaes & a circular loop of the high-end town involving a pass by of an impressive marina, we caught the last bus back to Faro, again, just in time! 8pm stumbled across the perfect place for dinner, lucky to get a table which was surprising since up until this point it felt like we'd had the whole city to ourselves, I guess it was a good sign, clearly this is the place to eat.. Two freshly selected fillets of salmon with fresh vegetables and a jug of sangria all for less than 20 euros. Probably the best salmon I've ever had. And considering how packed the place was, the service was awesome, we were well looked after! Excellent find.
10pm sufficiently satisfied, headed to bed after a girly chat & all prepared for tommorrows trip!
