Got a bit of catching up to do. We arrived in Singapore with a gift from Bali - Gandhi 's revenge. We missed Thursday altogether, just stayed in our Hotel Room on the 25th floor feeling sorry for ourselves.
On Friday we felt a lot better (thanks to the great God Imodium) so decided to tackle a bit of sight seeing.
We went on the underground to Harbour Bay Gardens. What a treat this place was. We spent hours just wandering around, went into the Flower Dome that was displaying plants from different parts of the world based on climate. Everything from Australian to Mediterranean, desert to English flower garden. We went into the Cloud Canopy Dome that housed the highest waterfall in captivity! Quite amazing, with a lift to the top and walks all the way down showing different strata of the forest. Also a huge variety of tropical trees, orchids and other plants. We finished up by doing the treetops walk that ran between tall ironwork false trees that have tropical climbing plants growing up them - impossible to describe, so look at the photo for today. Went back to the Hotel exhausted, mainly by the heat, but happy that we had gone out in spite of feeling woolly still.
