The most amazing evening after a 'normal' day swanning about the shops & walking through the lapping warm waters of the Indian Ocean. We went on a tour called A Night At The Zoo. Yesterday we put the wrong date on the blog, so please don't be too confused! After breakfast we met our driver at 9.00 am for our day out. This cost 500,000 Rupiats (about £34.50 for an eight hour day with the car). The traffic on Sunday morning was much lighter and we made good time up country. Had a good walk along to the shops, absolutely sweated up so wandered in to the Matahari department store where the ground floor is given over entirely to selling stuff to tourists & the aircon soon had us back to normal, so we did a load of shopping. Didn't rush out of bed this morning although we both slept well after sorting the aircon. It was set for 18 degrees which in this heat by contrast is b.....y freezing. We set it at 25 which is less shock to the system and helps you to acclimatise quicker. Went for a walk along the beach in the other direction to yesterday which turned out to be Legian, the posh end of Kuta Bay. Watched the surfers and continued with the sun/wind tan. Not that we will be showing ...
