Didn't rush out of bed this morning although we both slept well after sorting the aircon. It was set for 18 degrees which in this heat by contrast is b.....y freezing. We set it at 25 which is less shock to the system and helps you to acclimatise quicker.
Went for a walk along the beach in the other direction to yesterday which turned out to be Legian, the posh end of Kuta Bay. Watched the surfers and continued with the sun/wind tan. Not that we will be showing it off when we get back with it being woolly jumper and scarf time. In front of some of the hotels they have a foot washing trough, very civilised, we stopped at one and to say thanks we stopped for a can of fizzy. We were sat outside and there were at least 3 lads constantly sweeping up leaves & blossoms that drop constantly from above, these trees seem to provide full time employment for a number of Balinese.
Swam in the pool and lazed on the sunbeds all afternoon. After a shower - we were wrapped in towels when there was a knock at the door and three of the hotel workers trooped in - I had foolishly reported a leaking tap and after a three way conference they got to work and fixed it.
That evening was a meet the management cocktail party and then we had signed up for a Bali cultural dinner show. The Balinese dance was impressive, pity the Barbie was not as good. Very humid evening - bad enough for us never mind the dancers and musicians.
