Italy 2013
today we went to see the vatican museums, climbed the Bramante staircase and toured the Sistine chapel. Then we went into St. Peter's Basilica and saw Michelangelo's Mary and Jesus sculpture. After lunch we toured the colosseum. Tonight we are going on a walking tour Of the Pantheon and the Trevi fountain.

Rory Do you mean Pantheon or are you taking a side-trip to Greece?
Rory Sorry, I'm being a smart-ass.. :)

Rory The Pantheon is made of concrete because the Romans used concrete 2000 years ago and then they forgot the formula, then someone remembered it again in the 1800's.. that's why the Gothic cathedrals are made with no mortar/concrete. Also the Coliseum in Rome is made with concrete.
GP Rod spelled it wrong. It was the Pantheon in Italy we were at. No Greece yet! It's been hard to keep this updated and we don't know why pics are sideways. We ran out of wifi at last hotel when we wanted to use it and we were too tired to sort out arranging for more.
