USA 2016
Some of you will know that Sharryn and Garey have often travelled with us. During those travels Garey has been the self-appointed washing fairy. Our washing gets collected, and then mysteriously arrives back on our bed fully laundered and folded. We are missing you Garey. Even on holiday the domestics still need to be completed and with no Garey with us we need to attend to it ourselves. Today we had to google and find a self service laundry. Fortunately there was one within a few minutes walk. In with a mixed load of washing for £4 and half an hour later (and for us coffee at a local cafe while we waited), the majority of the washing was placed into a fast speed spinner for 40 pence and then into a drier. We completed the drying of a week's washing for 80 pence. So great value for £5 and 20 pence. We now have clean clothes for the next few days. Where we are staying in Dalston, near Hackney Wick there are many terrace homes built in the Victorian Edwardian. Some of these homes are family homes and many have apparently been converted to flats on each level or the studio flat on the lower ground floor has been let out. For £8.30 a load of washing can be left with the attendant to be washed, dried and folded. Excellent value and it appears that many of the local residents make use of this facility.

David Graham Looks like you traded for a washing goblin
Gill Hosie And he did an excellent job too but don’t want Garey to think he has been made redundant. Good name!
