After three stormy days in Miami we packed up again albeit that we decided to wait until the morning thunder and lightning storm had passed on. After ten days of rest and relaxation with Cam we hit the road again. This time we are travelling south from Durham with the plan to travel the east and west coasts of Florida (with stops along the way) and then head north via New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville with a short glimpse of the fall colours at the Smoky Mountains before heading back to Durham. We have now been staying with Cam (along with his house mates Nick and Gienia) for ten days and recuperating (!) from over seven weeks of intensive travel. It is surprising how much it takes it out of you. Durham is very pleasant at this time of the year. After visiting a number of big cities we were looking forward to the relaxed atmosphere of the coast. We left Washington DC on a Sunday morning with the plan to head to Ocean City in Maryland and then continue south. When we were talking about travelling in the Eastern States we were not concerned about the mileage or living in a caravan for a lengthy period of time. After all we had travelled long term in Australia with the caravan and covered many kilometres.
