We arrived at tea time on the 16th december, grabbed some food and walked along all the main streets, but we were too tired so had an early night saving ourselves for the next day.
17th - we had breakfast at the hostel and then headed to clarke quay, we then walked along the river stopping for lunch at the fountain of wealth. After lunch we wandered around Raffles, a few larger shopping centres on Orchard Road and then ended up in the cinema watching Wild Child. After the cinema we visited Mustafas, a massive department store in little India, just for a nosey. In the evening we treated ourselves to a nice restaurant and had a sit down meal - it was double the price we normally pay but it was our last night in Asia so we went all out - the restaurant was so cute - you all sat on little cushions on the floor, and the food was lovely. We then headed back to Clarke Quay as it comes alive in the evening - there were so many bars to choose from, but we ended up in one called the Highlander - a Scottish bar where all the staff wore kilts - it was real fun - each drink did cost us ten pounds! so we just had the one. The bar across from us was a hospital themed one called the Clinic - the seats were either wheelchairs or old hospital beds AND you could even be served your drink in a drip! crazy times.
18th - Up just before 6am, to make breakfast and then catch a train out to the airport. We were quite sad to be leaving Asia but at the same time really really excited about hitting Oz and being in a country that is more like home! the flight was on time and passed relatively quickly (7hours) as we managed to watch several films! We arrived in Oz with no delays!
