9th feb - So bus arrived at 7.30pm - the 12hours passed suprisingly fast. Arrived at mates place - felt good to be back - grabbed a shower and then headed to Empire with the crew. also met two lovely scottish girls who were in gill and i's old room - Sophie and Emily. Turned into a lateish night as was good seeing everyone again.

10th feb - Woke up unimpressed as it was pouring with rain - made my way into town and had a wander - i really do love sydney. In the evening i went to see the Curious Case of Benjamin Button with Kirsty and Grace - good but weird film.

11th feb - When its raining there really isnt much to do in Sydney - i had hoped to go to some beaches and do some famous coastal walks but they are not pleasant in the rain so spent the afternoon uploading pictures etc. Scottish Lewis (who had been at the hsotel for 6months) was leaving so there was a big gang heading out - i got ready with Sophie and Emily before heading back to Empire. We played some pool, had a couple fo drinks then headed back to hostel and continued drinking - late late night.

12th feb - up at 9am as we were supposed to be leaving for our roadtrip to the Blue Montains but didnt end up leaving until 11.30! Sophie and Emily had just bought a car so Emily was driving, then Jo and Andrew came along for the ride. The two boys and i were put in charge of map reading - cutting a long story short we crossed the river when we didnt need to - this resulted in us taking 3hours to get to the Blue Montains instead of 1.5hours like everyone else! We eventually reached the first lookout point - Echo Point - we couldnt see a thing - it was so cloudy/misty and eventually started to rain. Luckily the clouds lifted enough for us to see the famous rock formation nicknamed the 3 sisters. The rain was well entruly in force in time for our bbq - we managed to find an undercover bbq to cook on but we were freezing - we rumaged through the girls car and whipped out sheets, sleeping bags etc and wrapped them around us whilst cooking - it was really funny. we headed to a few other lookout points and went on a 20min walk to a waterfall before hitting the road again. We parked the car - headed to the pub for an end of trip drink and then went back to hostel. we had decided not to go out due to lack of sleep the previous night but as i walked through the door i was hounded and told i was coming out - made a quick tea, showered etc in 45mins - record speed. Convinced Sophie to join me so we joined the others at World Bar. - it was really cool - id never been before, after a couple of drinks here we headed next door to Candys, a club. We had such a fun night.

13th feb - Had a I cant be bothered to do anything day today. Got some new roomies - two guys from Jersey - Phil and Chris - they were really lovely and were going on the hostel pub crawl tonight so i joined them. First stop was Omalleys, an irish pub, then onto Empire and then Madame Debiers - although the 3 of us ended up back in Empire as the lads preferred the music in there.

14th feb - Valentines Day - Went to the shops in search of a pair of jeans - the time has come to buy some trousers but just my luck - i didnt find any i liked/could afford. In the evening a few of us just chilled out - we could handle a 4th night out in a row.,

15th feb - Last full day in sydney :( and raining again - went down to the harbour one last time to say goodbye to the opera house and harbour bridge! In the evening we watched Starter for Ten adn then PS I Love You. I then packed my bags so i was ready tomorrow.

16th feb - typical that the day im leaving the sun comes out (apparently it only stayed sunny in the morning though. I grabbed a hour of sunshine in the park before making my way to the bus station - next stop Newcastle.
