The month of April has seen us heading to Bristol, Grant had another assessment exam, this time we headed to Bristol City College. The weather was good for a while and it was a relatively short hop compared to the long drive to Luton a couple of weeks back. Grant also headed to Gloucester the next day, this time Jayne kept him company for the drive. The motorways were a nightmare coming back and so they took the scenic route through Caldicot & Usk on the return trip and in the good weather was very nice by all accounts.
Horticulture Special
We've managed to keep well ahead of the curve with the seeds and plants. We havent been hampered by frost as the temperatures have been very mild. This brings a different sort of problem. Some of the seedlings and plants have began to bolt, especially the cucumbers and courgettes, it's not a huge problem as we can seed more up but it would have been good to have hit the markets and sell some of the plants to make room in the greenhouses for some new plants.
I've attached a few pictures to give you an idea of the glut we've got at the moment. Due to rainy weather the local market was postponed so next weekend we're going to have to go further afield if the market gets postponed again.
So there you go. A relatively quiet start to the month. Easter is looming and with it the boating season. The boat will soon have to go back into it's mooring in Aberaeron Harbour and this could well bring some comedy moments. I will of course keep you all posted.

Rhidian Morgan Fingers crossed for Grant. I’m sure that come of all his efforts. The plants are looking good. We have just put in a raised bed for vegetables. There’s nothing planted yet, but that’s a job for this weekend. Not too sure what to plant though.
Nerys Evans Great to be ’hooked’ again. xxxxn
Ma Gibbs Sorry I’ve added to the chaos in the greenhouse but the 72 perennials I.ve ordered won’t take up too much room - they are tiny!! Luv Ma XXXXXX
Ma Gibbs Wow! You look great, Grant. Sorry my comment is late, but I’ve just caught up on the blog. Luv Ma XXXX
