Hello everyone for the 3rd time from Ko Phangan
We are leaving at some point, don't worry. We have decided not to stay till February the 1st. We have been here for nearly 2 weeks and are now ready to leave for Malaysia. We are actually going today, midday, to Hat Yai. This is Thailand’s last big city before you cross the border into Malaysia. We shall stay there for 1 night as we get in around 10pm. Then we shall leave early next morning for Malaysia. We will head straight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's Capital.
We have really enjoyed our final 3 days here, probably the best part so far of our stay on this Island. Due to the fact we really know where to go now and we've hired a really nice car, a powerful 4x4 pick-up. So we had a lot of fun off-roading and we were able to explore parts that weren't accessible before in our little Jeep we had. We went to another beach and saw some gorgeous puppies. Lots of photos were taken :o) We also drove around the Island just soaking up all the different sites and beautiful scenery. Even Gemma had a go this time and she really loved it, especially when she tried off-roading. Some of the inclines were around 40% on dirt roads. Very steep but then the car was well equipped for these kind of conditions. The photos don't do any of the off-roading justice which is a big shame! Its also a shame that there's no where really back in the UK where you can just go off road unless you go to an organised 4x4 day. That’s probably why we got in as much 4x4ing here as we could. The car was filthy when we took it back, he he!
Anyway, we feel we're going on about off-roading to much, sorry! We also again just relaxed in our hammocks and read our books. It feels like we've been here so long that we both now really want to get back into a major city again for a few days. So Kuala Lumpur, here we come.....
We shall arrive very late on the 29th and we can’t wait. Speak to you all after we've had a few days there.
Lots of love Darren and Gemma xxx xxx
