Hello everyone, We're now in Papatowai. The drive down was really amazing again. We went to Purakaunui Falls. This was a 10 minute forest walk to get to them and was a 3 tier fall, very beautiful. Hello everyone, On the way down here we went via Brighton. It's a small village just on the beach and we stopped to take a photo of us and the sign. Once in Owaka we found a nice place to stay. We went to Tunnel Hill which used to be part of the old Catlins (thats the name for this whole area) railway. It was completed in 1895 and took 30 years to build as it was all dug out by using pick axes only. It is obviously not used now and your able to walk though...

Hello peoples, On the way down to Otaogo we stopped off at Boulders Beach. These are big boulders that are millions of years old and have been formed by mud stone and the sea. They were quite impressive to see. We carried on to Trotters Gorge which was a huge gorge cut out of the cliff face and covered in trees. Then carried on to Dunedin which is a city. Hello everyone, Well this morning first thing we went back up to Lake Pukaki to see if we could see Mt Cook, but again it was still covered in cloud. So we waited for about an hour and then decided to just cut our loses and to return here on our way back up. Hopefully then it will be a clear day. We are now in Oamaru. Hello everybody, We are now in Twizel which is the closest town to Mt Cook at 80km away. The journey to Twizel was amazing. We stopped at Lake Teakpo which was huge. It had the cutiest church there and it was all like a picture postcard. The lake had a amazing turquoise colour to it due to the limestone underneath reacting with the water.
