Basically, none of this will surprise anyone. We started drinking at lunch on Saturday & continued drinking till 6am Sunday morning. Slept on the side of the road uninterrupted but on a serious lean so had Sam rolling into me all night. It was the coldest night and morning that we have had in the van. Drove into town in search of somewhere for breakfast.....impossible! Had McDonalds. Realised that we had lost the adapter plug and so couldn't charge my camera which was dead. Woke up at 7.30am busting for the toilet, Sam wanted to continue sleeping as per usual and told me to squat outside the van. Considered it but decided that I was too old and sober, plus we were in a wide-open space in the middle of the desert surrounded by Ranches. Woke up and it was pouring rain and freezing. Texan weather hasn't been kind to us. Decided that after my shower (first in over 48 hours) it was the perfect opportunity to give myself a manicure.
