Slept on the side of the road uninterrupted but on a serious lean so had Sam rolling into me all night. It was the coldest night and morning that we have had in the van. Drove into town in search of somewhere for breakfast.....impossible! Had McDonalds. Realised that we had lost the adapter plug and so couldn't charge my camera which was dead. I was seriously gutted that I wouldn't be able to take decent photos at the Grand Canyon.

Chose a route up the canyon and checked out different spots along the way. Once again we were both wearing inappropriate footwear. Worked out we could take a few pictures by turning the camera on, taking a picture & turning it straight off again. Got a bit carried away taking silly pictures.

Loved the Grand Canyon it really is spectacular and photos don't do it justice. Would love to go again one day to hike it.

Had lunch at Denny's and booked 3 nights at Stratosphere hotel in Vegas. Couldn't wait to have a shower and sleep in a king size bed!

Arrived in Vegas late afternoon and went on a mission to find a new adapter. Also, dragged Sam to a chemist to get exfoliating gloves & some self-tanner. Walked past a store called Groceries & More that didn't sell any groceries, they obviously only sold more. Can't get over how people spit on the street, not just in Vegas but everywhere we have visited. It grosses me out!

Had dinner at the hotel-casino and a semi-early night so we would be fresh for a major Saturday.
