After a night of rain (yes... the Geri Glampers can even bring rain to The Outback) and a wet pack up we are off to White Cliffs today which is an Opal Mining town.
Well this place is very unique and currently wet! We have looked at a few Opal showrooms and received a quick education on the different types of Opals. The Opals of this area are light colored whereas the black opals come from Lightning Ridge.
I'm the now the proud owner of a beautiful white opal necklace!
We met an intriguing local Jock, who lives underground in a mine. Emily thinks he was very loudly spoken. Most items in his place are covered in dust! Hmm not somewhere we could live.
Here's hoping tomorrow is without rain and mud! I hate mud... There truly is nothing worse when camping!
Next destination is Nyngan.
