First dirt roads - woo hoo! Lots of red dirt and fantastic wildlife. We have seen emus, kangaroos, eagles, frilled neck lizards and shingled back lizards.
We have been amazed at how the scenery changes from trees to barren landscape, to big boulders of granite.
We passed a salt lake which Zac was intrigued by! We also passed an overflow of some description which had lots of birdlife.
Ok so the plan to make Fort Grey didn't work out however it turned out to be a good thing. After some extremely long periods of bumpy stone filled roads we stopped at Tibooburra to fill up and work out where to camp. This deliberation was conducted over a beer at the local! We were told of an local aboriginal owned campsite that we could go to. What a beautiful spot to spend the evening, beautiful sunset, no one else about, a campfire, toilets and even a decent shower!
