Bobbi and I decided to each go shopping on our own after breakfast and meet back at the hostel at midday.

Before I headed out I made the most of the good wifi and called home. It was lovely to catch up properly with Ben and Mum.

I visited every shop on Third Street and was very unsuccessful! Bobbi in the other had managed to get an entire outfit for Vegas.

That afternoon we hired bikes, our hostel gave us a discounted price and we collected the bikes from the pier. We followed the broad walk to Venice beach but our first impressions were not great. There were so many homeless people lining the beach and I felt rather intimidated. There is a skate park and we stopped for a while and watched the kids doing all kinds of tricks.

We decided to cycle back towards Santa Monica and return the bikes early.

For the next couple of days we relaxed, explored the area and made the most of the sun when it made an appearance.

We had chosen to take the night bus on Thursday to Vegas to save a nights accommodation and arrive early to make the most of our four days there. All I can say is I am glad that was our last night bus of the trip!
