After a bus and a boat transfer I arrived in Ihla grande - it was paradise. With beautiful remote beaches you could escape from the outside world and relax.
I explored the 5 beaches near my hostel in the afternoon and took a nap in the hammock. This is where I was woken by 4 crazy kiwis docking their kayaks under my hammock!
This lead to an interesting night at our hostel and the night ended with swimming in the freezing cold bay.

After drinking in the island spirit the next day I visited Lopez Mendez beach which was either accessed by a 2.5hr hike across the island or a boat ride and then a 20min walk. We chose the latter and were glad we did because all of us only had flip flops.

I joined Hannah and Bo for a great dinner on the sea front and had a quiet night and enjoyed the company.
