The Monkey Goes Travelling
Hello, I am so so sorry that I have not had time to log on and update the journals. Thought that the pictures would do as a staring point and then I could explain them after... but didnt mean to leave it this long.
Well at the minute I am in Nah trang, about to leave to spend 12 hours on a bus to head to Ho Chi Mihn City (previoulsy Saigon). Right were do I start.
We left Hanoi and stopped in a place called Ninh Binh. There was not much happening here apart from the lovely scenery on the Tam Coc river tour! But mainly during this trip we got our picture taken by every Chinese passanger and got hounded to buy silk! So left there and headed to Hue! Hue was a nice place - the main thing to see here is the citadel. We spent a whole day wondering around. It was really nice to get away from the tuk tuk, cyclo and motorbike drivers asking if you want to go somewhere and the constant beeping of horns! The temples in there were not as grand as ones we have seen in Bangkok (well Thailand in general) but still very pretty! They had more of a Chinese feel to them. On our last night there we went for a quiet drink in the local bars and ended up in the local night club! It was so so funny, but also a messy night - got far to drunk considering we had to be up at 7 the next morning to get the bus to Hoi An. Felt very ill the next day and was happy to sleep on the bus for the 4 hours we were on it. Got to Hoi An and just wanted to get into a bed! Walked into the first hotel we came to and tried getting the price of the hotel room down but we were to tired! We ended getting it for 6 us dollars a night. we walked into the room and couldnt believe it. Massive beds, balcony, BATH TUB!!!!~!!! It was so so nice! It even had a swimming pool. We spent 4 nights there in total - went on a 12 km bike ride to the beach - in that heat it was hard work! But good fun. That night ended sitting on the beach till 7 pm with about 25 army/police lads - that hardly spoke any English drinking and eating! it was hard work trying to get the push bike home in on piece after that! Got some clothes made, which I have already fallen out with only 5 days after! Then it was to Nha Trang. Here we have had a brilliant time. The first day we got here went on a boat trip - which was amazing - snorkeling- ellens first time doing this!!! well done! Floating bar - again drank far too much red wine. and best of all I went Parsailing. I was so scared but I thought if I am going to try and jump out of a plane in New zealand I should try and over come my fears! I was great apart from smashing my arm into the strap and creating a HUGE bruise on my arm! The next day went for a mud bath. this was really really nice. my skin felt so much better. That night met up with the guys from the baths and again went for a few drinks. that ened up with me swimming in the sea at 5 am watching the sun come up! wrestling bloke in the sand - it was an organised thing - not just becasue i wanted it! i didnt win - but i think that was due to the fact i had far too many buckets (vodka and red bull in huge plastic jars) inside me that i was falling over without even being pushed!
the next day I thought I had died! Body ached from head to toe but it was worth it! Spent that day sleeping on the beach ( sorry zac I was too ill to put sun cream on) and you will see the effects when I put on the next load of photos - which i will do soon when i charge by battery which has just died half way through doing the album!
So there i think you are all up to date. I am going to go and pack my bag now as the bus will be here any minute.
Hope that you are all ok and email me soon.
Zachary get a hotmail email address set up soon!
Love and kisses to you all
